Hoempler allegedly engaged in a physical altercation with Hector Rivera, pinning him down on the lawn.

When Hector's sons intervened, Hoempler shot all three of them.

One victim was airlifted to Ryder Trauma Center but later succumbed to injuries.

Witnesses claim that the suspect and victims were neighbors.

In the video, Hoempler attempts to argue self-defense.

He is currently held without bond in Miami-Dade's Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center.

Romeo Nance, 23, is believed to have died by suicide after allegedly killing eight people in a series of mass shootings in Joliet, Illinois.

It is reported that he died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound during a confrontation with Texas law enforcement.

The fatal victims were found in two separate homes on the same street in Joliet, with five victims discovered in one residence and two in another.

Nance was quickly identified as the suspect and was believed to be involved in two other shootings that took place the day prior.
