On June 14, 1974, Margaret Dash borrowed her daughter's car and never returned. Her abandoned vehicle was found in St. Petersburg a month later. It was discovered that Margaret was having an affair with a man named Cleveland Hill, who allegedly threatened her.

Two other women, Retha Hiers and Donyelle Johnson, also disappeared after having affairs with Cleveland. Despite suspicions, there is not enough evidence to implicate him, and the three missing women remain unfound.

A 62-year-old man from Texas, Steven Robert Sablan, has pleaded guilty to kidnapping a 13-year-old girl who was rescued in Southern California.

The girl had held up a "Help Me!" sign in a parked car, catching the attention of a passerby who called 911.

According to a statement from the U.S. Attorney's Office, Sablan admitted that he sexually assaulted the victim while driving her from Texas to California.

Sablan has been in federal custody since July 2023 and pleaded guilty to one count of kidnapping.

He faces a mandatory minimum of 20 years in prison and a maximum sentence of life.

A sentencing hearing has been scheduled for October 25.

The owners of the bowling alley and bar in Lewiston, Maine, where a mass shooting occurred, initially thought their businesses would never reopen.

However, after receiving support from their families, the Lewiston community, and people across the country, they changed their minds.

Kathy Lebel, co-owner of Schemengees Bar & Grille, had a personal connection to the business and felt compelled to keep it going.

Just-In-Time Recreation co-owners, Justin and Samantha Juray, felt the same way about their bowling alley.

They have begun renovations to change the atmosphere and erase the memories of the tragedy.

Both businesses hope to reopen soon and maintain their original names.
