Anissa Weier, one of the individuals involved in the 2014 Slender Man stabbing case, will have her GPS monitor removed, according to court records.

Weier, along with Morgan Geyser, lured Payton Leutner to a park during a sleepover and Geyser stabbed Leutner multiple times while Weier encouraged her.

All three were 12 years old at the time.

Weier pleaded guilty to attempted second-degree intentional homicide and was sent to a psychiatric facility.

Geyser pleaded guilty to attempted first-degree intentional homicide and was sentenced to 40 years in a mental institution.

Weier has been granted conditional release to live with her father and will no longer wear a GPS monitor.

In 2021, a Wisconsin judge has agreed to release Anissa Weier, one of two teenagers involved in the "Slender Man Stabbing" case, from a psychiatric hospital.

Weier, who was 12 at the time, was convicted of attempting to kill her friend to appease a fictional character called Slender Man.

She has been in a mental health institute since 2017 and was initially sentenced to 25 years.

However, after making progress in her treatment, she has been granted release.

Weier plans to be a productive member of society and hopes to give back to her community.

She will be monitored until the age of 37.
