Tammi Peterson, the CEO of The Oxford Center, is expected to be charged with second-degree murder and manslaughter.

Three others are also facing charges, with one additionally accused of falsifying medical records.

The names of the other individuals have not been released.

The incident occurred while the boy's mother was in the waiting room.

The investigation is ongoing, with concerns about the facility's preparedness for emergencies raised.

The boy, Thomas Cooper, was remembered as a smart, energetic child.

Father of Chiefs Fans Found Frozen in Backyard Files Lawsuit Against Suspects in Drug-Related Deaths

The father of one of the three Kansas City Chiefs fans who were found frozen in a backyard in January 2024 has filed a lawsuit against the two suspects charged in connection with their deaths.

Jordan Willis and Ivory Carson pleaded not guilty to manslaughter charges last week in connection with the deaths of David Harrington, Clayton McGeeney, and Ricky Johnson after an NFL watch party.

The victims died of fentanyl toxicity.

Jon Harrington, David's father, is seeking $100,000 in damages, accusing the defendants of negligence and providing drugs without a license.

Willis and Carson's court appearance is on March 11.

A father and Army veteran from New York, Stephan Smerk, has been sentenced to 70 years in prison for the murder of a northern Virginia woman, Robin Lawrence, in 1994.

Smerk confessed to the crime after advanced genealogy techniques led detectives to him in 2023.

He had left his barracks with the intent to kill someone and chose Lawrence's home, stabbing her 49 times while her daughter was in another room.

Smerk claimed to be a "serial killer who only killed once" and expressed regret for his actions.

Lawrence was remembered as an artist and dancer by her family.
