On December 3, 1998, Mark Jensen found his wife, Julie, dead in their home. Initially thought to be suicide, a letter Julie wrote suspecting Mark of harm and toxicology tests revealing antifreeze in her system raised suspicion of foul play.

Former security guard Brandon Turner pleaded guilty in the killing of D’Vontaye Mitchell at a Milwaukee hotel in June.

Turner has agreed to a plea deal, which may result in probation, in exchange for testifying against his coworkers.

According to court documents, Mitchell's death occurred after being pinned to the ground by hotel staff for several minutes.

Mitchell was found to be morbidly obese, with heart disease and drugs in his system.

Attorneys for his family have compared his death to that of George Floyd.

The four workers involved have been fired, with court dates scheduled for their cases.

Matthew Hertgen of Princeton, New Jersey, is accused of murdering his brother, Joseph Hertgen, and a family cat.

Responding to a 911 call, police found Matthew in the apartment with his brother's body, which had severe head and upper body injuries.

Another surviving brother mentioned mental health issues Matthew had been struggling with for five years.

During a detention hearing, no evidence was presented as Matthew agreed to pretrial detention.

The family did not attend the hearing.

A mental health evaluation will be requested for Matthew.

Joseph's autopsy results are still pending, and the investigation continues.
