In early September 2005, 17-year-old Taylor Behl, a freshman at Virginia Commonwealth University, vanished from the Richmond campus. A police investigation later revealed her connection to 38-year-old Ben Fawley.

Yoni Barrios, 34, has pleaded guilty but mentally ill to murder and terrorism charges for a series of stabbings on the Las Vegas Strip in October 2022.

The incident resulted in the deaths of two people, including performers dressed as showgirls, and left six others injured.

Barrios entered his pleas as part of a deal to avoid the death penalty and is expected to be sentenced to life in prison without parole.

His attorney stated that the plea agreement recognizes the role of mental illness in the crime, which began with an unprovoked attack on showgirls near a hotel and casino.

A manhunt is ongoing for Michelle J. Zajko, suspected of purchasing the handguns used in the killing of Border Patrol agent David "Chris" Maland in Vermont.

Law enforcement agencies in multiple states are searching for Zajko, who is considered armed and dangerous.

Maland was shot and killed during a traffic stop of Teresa Youngblut, who was later taken into custody.

Zajko is also a person of interest in other violent acts in different states.
