A woman is found shot dead in her car, while a blood-soaked man lies unconscious nearby, claiming to have no memory of how he ended up there. Investigators work to piece together the mysterious scene.

A 68-year-old military veteran named Earnest Christion Jr. was stabbed to death at his home in Birmingham, Alabama on New Year's Eve.

Authorities launched a homicide investigation and two suspects, 60-year-old Zingy Gamble and her son, 40-year-old La Verne Gamble, were arrested in connection with the killing.

Zingy Gamble, who was dating Christion at the time, allegedly stabbed him over a money dispute.

Christion, also known as "Rickey," was remembered by his family as a loving and humorous man who cherished his family above all else.

The suspects are in custody awaiting trial.

A 24-year-old woman from Manhattan, Jaia Cruz, was arrested and charged with second-degree murder in connection to the fatal stabbing of a 36-year-old U.S.

Postal Service worker, Ray Hodges, in a Harlem deli.

The incident occurred around 2:38 p.m. in the deli, and Hodges was pronounced dead at a hospital.

Cruz was arrested shortly before 10 p.m.

NBC New York reported that the stabbing occurred during a fight over a food order, where Cruz was upset that the postal worker had placed his order first.

The motive for the attack is still unknown, and Cruz was seen on video being escorted to a car in handcuffs.

Hodges' relatives have not issued a statement.
