Lee Mongerson Gilley, 38, has been accused of strangling his pregnant wife, Christa Bauer Gilley, to death at their home in Houston on October 7.

Christa's death has been ruled a homicide due to the "compression of the neck." Lee Gilley was arrested and charged with capital murder, although his attorney denies any intention to flee.

Christa, a physical therapist, leaves behind two young children.

Gilley has been released on $1 million bail and a judge granted temporary joint conservatorship over the children to their maternal grandparents and Gilley's sister-in-law.
