Kevin Ray Underwood, a former grocery store worker, was executed by lethal injection in Oklahoma.

Underwood admitted to luring the girl into his apartment, beating her, suffocating her, and sexually assaulting her.

His last meal included chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes, and a cheeseburger.

Underwood opted for sedatives during the execution but did not have a chaplain present.

Despite legal arguments for a stay of execution, the U.S.

Supreme Court rejected the bid.

A man in Panama City, Florida, shot and killed his daughter's husband after a domestic dispute with his wife, before taking his own life.

The incident occurred on Dec. 13, with Newell Mock, 67, targeting his wife's daughter, Jessica Johns, at her home.

Jessica's husband, Joshua Johns, was killed in the shooting, while Jessica was critically wounded.

The police arrived shortly after and found Mock armed with a handgun, leading to him fatally shooting himself.

Jessica is now recovering from her injuries while dealing with the loss of her husband.

The motive behind the attack was believed to be directed at Mock's wife.
