Idaho Woman Arrested for Dropping Dead Baby in Safe Haven Baby Box

Angel N. Newberry, an 18-year-old Idaho woman, was arrested for dropping a dead baby in a Safe Haven Baby Box at a hospital.

The arrest was made for failing to report the death to authorities.

The Safe Haven Baby Box allows parents to surrender a newborn under 30 days old safely and anonymously.

Newberry was taken into custody after an investigation was launched following the incident.

The group's founder, Monica Kelsey, stated that this was an illegal and deadly abandonment.

Due to the ongoing investigation, limited information is being released.

Police collaborated with Twin Falls Police on the case.

Maryland Man Convicted of Killing Pregnant Girlfriend and Unborn Child in Montgomery County

Torrey Moore, a Maryland man, was convicted of two counts of first-degree murder for killing his pregnant girlfriend, Denise Middleton, and her unborn child in Montgomery County.

Surveillance footage showed the couple together in Moore's apartment building shortly before Middleton's death, where she was shot seven times.

Middleton's body was found in an advanced state of decomposition.

Moore also faces charges related to another murder he committed in May.

His sentencing hearing is scheduled for March 28th with a possibility of life without parole.

Cell phone data showed Moore traveling after Middleton's murder, searching for information on moving a dead body.
