Terry Rose, the ex-boyfriend of missing woman Kimberly Langwell, was arrested by Texas police on Thursday in connection to her disappearance 25 years ago.

The arrest followed a search warrant executed at Rose's home, where human remains were discovered.

The identity of the remains is believed to be Langwell's.

This case, labeled as a cold case homicide, is considered an extraordinary event by Police Chief James Singletary.

Rose is currently being held on $1 million bond and may be required to wear a GPS monitoring anklet if he posts bail.

In the early morning hours of March 4, 1998, St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Dane, Wisconsin was the scene of a murder.

The victim was 67-year-old Father Alfred Kunz, who had been cut with an "edged weapon." The investigation revealed that Father Kunz, who was in good physical condition, had struggled with his attacker.

The case remains unsolved, and the authorities are exploring multiple theories, such as robbery, personal conflicts, and investigations into clergy abuse.

The Dane County Sheriff’s Office continues to actively investigate the case and encourages anyone with information to come forward.
