The suspect behind the fatal shootings of three homeless individuals in Los Angeles has been identified as Jerrid Joseph Powell, 33, who was already in custody for a San Dimas murder. Powell allegedly followed a charging station employee home, robbed, and fatally shot him. Authorities connected Powell to the homeless killings through his vehicle, arrested him, and recovered the same weapon used in the three murders. LAPD Chief Michel Moore stated that the cold-blooded manner of the shootings, committed while the victims were sleeping, was chilling.
