Danielle Clause's family finally found closure after 33 years as authorities used DNA and forensic evidence to identify her killer in California.

Danielle's body was discovered in 1991 with blunt force injuries and signs of sexual assault.

The case went cold for over 25 years before detective Tyler Buck re-examined it in 2021.

DNA evidence led to the identification of Larry Devon Welch as the perpetrator, despite no known connection to Danielle at the time.

Using familial genealogy, investigators narrowed down the suspects to Welch and his brother, ultimately confirming Welch as the killer.

Danielle's family can now find peace knowing justice has been served.

A Texas woman, Shelby Stotts, has been charged with second-degree manslaughter in the death of her newborn baby, known as Angel Baby Doe, more than two decades ago.

DNA enhancement technology identified Stotts as the mother in this cold case.

The baby was found abandoned and dead on the side of a road in 2001, with the umbilical cord still attached.

Stotts failed to seek medical care after giving birth and did not clamp the baby's umbilical cord, leading to the child bleeding to death.

Authorities have commended the efforts in solving this case and ensuring justice for Angel Baby Doe.

Stotts is being held on a $100,000 bond.
