Timothy M. Haslett, a Missouri man previously charged with rape, sodomy, assault, kidnapping, and endangering the welfare of a child, was indicted for murder in connection to the death of 36-year-old Jaynie Crosdale.

Prosecutors say she was killed by homicidal violence, with wounds consistent with a gunshot.

Haslett is also accused of keeping a woman hidden in his basement where he sexually assaulted her.

The survivor of the abuse reported that Haslett had described killing two other women in a similar way.

The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward.

Kyle Ricke, 43, was convicted of first-degree murder in the shooting death of Algona Police Officer Kevin Cram.

Ricke faces life in prison and sentencing is scheduled for Aug. 21.

Prosecutors stated that Ricke shot Cram eight times after being told he would be arrested for harassment.

Ricke allegedly shouted, "Too late!" at Cram before attempting to shoot himself.

He was later arrested in Minnesota. Defense argued the shooting was not planned and that Ricke was acting on instinct.

The courtroom was filled with Cram's family and supporters, who were relieved to see justice served.
