Investigation Continues Into Nancy Giles's Remains Found in Former Residence of Convicted Murderer Brian Giles

Human remains were found in the former residence of Brian Giles, convicted of murder in the death of his wife.

Nancy Giles went missing in 2018, and her remains were found in May 2019 near a trail in downtown Johnstown.

Giles was convicted of first-degree murder and aggravated assault.

Authorities are investigating the discovery, with a focus on determining the cause and manner of death.

Giles' girlfriend has also been missing since 2020.

During the trial, it was revealed that Giles was verbally abusive to his wife and prevented her from having a cellphone.

Prosecutors argued that Giles had the motive and opportunity to commit the crime.

Mass Shooting at Madison Apartment Party Injures at Least 10, Including Teenager

At least 10 people, including a teenager, were injured in a shooting at a party in an apartment building in Madison, Wisconsin.

Police arrived at the Lux apartments around 12:45 a.m. to reports of gunshots.

Officers found multiple victims, including a teen with gunshot wounds.

Fortunately, no one was killed, and the injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

The victims range in age from 14 to 23, and five were taken to the hospital for gunshot wounds.

Police believe the shooting was targeted and are still investigating.

No arrests have been made yet.

James Devore, 54, from Mansfield, Ohio, was charged with second-degree murder in the stabbing of 28-year-old Erica Robertson in her Bronx apartment on Nov. 23, 2005.

Robertson was found dead by her daughter, and Devore was tracked down through DNA evidence.

Robertson, a Columbus native, had moved to New York four years prior to her murder.

The night before her death, she was preparing for a Thanksgiving party.

Devore's arrest came after another cold case was solved using DNA evidence in Queens.

Anthony Scalic was charged with the murder of his uncle, Rosario Prestigiacoma, after DNA evidence placed him at the scene.

Arrest Made in Unsolved 2023 Homicide Case in Las Vegas

Police in Las Vegas arrested Deaundra Talton, 21, in connection with a homicide from the previous year.

Talton faces charges of open murder with a deadly weapon and conspiracy murder.

The victim, Kaito Thornton, 25, was found dead from gunshot wounds in his car at an apartment complex.

The case had been unsolved until Talton's arrest.

There are no details on Talton's alleged role in the crime or if there were other suspects involved.
