Elliot Tramel Nowden, the suspect, is being held on $2 million bail.

Arauz was attacked on her way home from work and later succumbed to her injuries at a local hospital.

Nowden was apprehended by patrol officers shortly after the incident.

Man Accused of Murdering Girlfriend and Young Child Found Hiding in Woods by K9 Deputies

Angel Gabriel Cuz-Choc, 31, has been accused of murdering his girlfriend, Amalia Coc Choc de Pec, 37, and her 4-year-old daughter, Estrella Anastasia Pec Coc.

The victims were found fatally stabbed in a mobile home in Dover.

Cuz-Choc was apprehended by K9 deputies hiding in a wooded area near the crime scene.

Sheriff Chad Chronister described the crime as gruesome and stated that Cuz-Choc will face the full weight of the criminal justice system for his actions.

The suspect allegedly confessed to the murders.

It remains unclear if he has entered a plea or obtained legal representation.

Rhein's body was discovered behind a business on West Canal Street in Winooski.

Vermont State Police are seeking information on his killing and any other unsolved homicides.

Arrest Made in 25-Year-Old Unsolved Murder Case in Providence, Rhode Island

After 25 years, an arrest has been made in the case of Kathleen O’Dowd Boleman's murder in Providence, Rhode Island.

Kevin Williams, 53, has been charged with Boleman's strangling death in 1999.

Detectives found and arrested Williams this week, following a sealed indictment from the Providence County Grand Jury.

Detective Angelo Avant's persistent efforts led to new evidence being presented, resulting in the indictment.

Williams is also facing charges in a separate domestic violence case.

He is currently held without bail and will have a hearing later this month to determine a defense attorney.
