Former Washington state police officer Elias Huizar was on the run, accused of killing his ex-wife and a teenager before taking his own life.

Two teenagers also accused Huizar of rape, and one of the victims was found dead in his house.

Huizar's ex-wife was a paraeducator at Wiley Elementary School.

After a standoff with police, Huizar fled with his 1-year-old son.

Fortunately, the child was rescued by Oregon State Police.

The community is in shock, and officials are working to support the families affected by this tragedy.

The state is now focused on finding permanent homes for the children left behind.

Roger Hanks, a 76-year-old man from Kennett Square, PA, has been charged with the murder of his wife, Judith Hanks, and daughter, Emily Hanks, during a heated argument at their home on April 25.

Pennsylvania State Police arrived at the scene after reports of a shooting and found both women dead with gunshot wounds.

Roger claimed he accidentally shot them while cleaning his gun during an argument, pointing the gun at them and pulling the trigger.

He has been charged with two counts of first-degree murder and is being held without bail.

The case is scheduled for a court appearance on May 8.
